The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Paris is the Eiffel Tower. This city's famous landmark was built between 1887 and 1889 for the World's Fair in Paris on the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. Attracting more than 6 million visitors each year, it belongs to the most popular structures in the world. The Eiffel Tower measures 324 m (1063 ft) high and was named after its designer, Gustave Eiffel. One of the most innovative achievements with the tower was the use of hydraulic elevators. For 41 years after its completion, it was the highest building in the world, before being surpassed by the New York City Chrysler Building in 1930. Originally, the Eiffel Tower was to be torn down after 20 years; however, it was quickly realized how useful it was for communication: its height permitted the establishment of the first transatlantic radio circuit. The plan to tear it down was quickly abandoned. Today, tourists can enter three different platforms to enjoy astonishing views over Paris.

About Ravensburger:
Ravensburger is a German family company founded in 1883. "Only the best" was the principle that guided the founding father of the Ravensburger publishing house from the very beginning. Otto Maier wanted to make toys to please heads, hands, and hearts and the standard he set still applies today. At Ravensburger, the templates for the puzzles are produced in a lengthy process that combines watchmaker's precision with state-of-the-art technology. To ensure that no two pieces are identical, templates are drawn by hand and laser-cut into a mounting plate. The specialists bend metal cutters by hand using specially developed tools, insert them one by one with millimeter accuracy into the laser-cut lines on the plate and check that no gaps have been left. Once the finished punching tool has been set up in the punching machine, the puzzle pieces can be cut. Ravensburger always uses superior quality materials like exclusive puzzle board and chrome linen facing for the printed pictures to ensure the production of non-glare pieces.

Watch your children as they discover and develop abilities like patience, focus, concentration, dexterity and imagination - proof that puzzling can be about more than just having fun. And what a confidence builder when they can solve a puzzle on their own! Enjoyment, education, togetherness - we believe in these Ravensburger values so that children and adults constantly discover what is really important.
